Benvenuto
As so many like to call it... The language of love. Italian language is one of the most studied languages by English speakers.
This language only has 21 letters in its alphabet! Imagine never having to use j, k, w, x or y.
I love the fact that this language has some words that as English speakers we cannot just translate them into one word and need a whole explanation for them.
My favorites being:
- Menefreghista: This word refers to a person that simply doesn't care about what it's being talked about.
- Pennichella: This word refers to that nap you take after having lunch.
- Pantofolaio: This word refers to the person that would rather stay at home than go out.
I have always thought that Italian is such an interesting and beautiful language, but knowing that it's alphabet only contains 21 letters makes it even better! Haha
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting to learn about Italian. It just has a nice sound to hear. I even imagined myself repeating those words you wrote and they sounded perfect. (in my head haha)
